I've nursed my poorly little boy Steve all week but today sadly he passed away, one of my beautiful cats, not a snake i know but I'm heart broken. He was only 4, when he was a kitten his litter caught a virus that left him brain damaged & killed the rest of his litter. When he came home he had a teddy bear to keep him company. He had FIPV or feline infectious peritinitus virus as well (I didn't know but it wouldn't have made any difference) that mutated into FIP in the last week or 2. We went through alot together. He was my big fat teddy bear & I will always miss him & love him.

Aww Dazz....I am so sorry to read this, but at least you have comfort in knowing you gave him 4 good years of life where others may have not even given him that.

Sending you loads of hugs...

R.I.P Steve. run free at the bridge little one...

oh i'm so sorry to hear about Steve
i lost a cat through FIP a few years ago, it was awful seeing him deteriorate and i ended up making the decision to have him PTS. i held him while the vet did him and the last thing he did was bite me, maybe he had more fight in him than i thought but FIP has a poor prognosis.
so sorry Dazzetski.

Losing an animal i think is as bad as losing a member of the family..

I have one dog who i will never forget..took me months to be able to even talk about her without blubbing, so i fully understand your pain..

Still got loads of hugs for ya;-)

As for Sofia...you will find peace with her.. out of all my snake Peanut is my rock so to speak...i tell him everything

and well done on her shedding...

Thanks Anne,

It's nice to know people understand the pain. It could have been much worse, the blood test that showed the FIP was also for feline aids & leukemia, if it had of been either of those my 2 little girls would have been at a high risk too. Thank you all for listening/reading it proves to you in times like these how nice everyone is on here.

Hey Daz, i wish i could hug you, loss is an awful pain to deal with, but i am here if you need to talk or email me if it helps ok;-)

had a rescue dog that got that had a blood disorder, within a week he went downhill and was at the vets they had him on a drip, my dog Sam was a blood donor to him, but it was not enough to save him...

he knocked himself in the pen at the vets and bled to death..he was gone within a minute, but i was gutted he was only four..

I miss my little boy so much, he used to lick me when I stroked him, in fact he used to lick anything. He was so full of love. Why did this have to happen to him, he was & is beautiful & my best mate, He'll always be in my heart, he took a little bit of it when he went upstairs. I love you son xxx
