hi everyone,

just wondering what your thoughts were.. i have just bought a baby royal and the guy said it's fine to feed her mice. fuzzies. i was just thinking is it best for me to get some rat pups in instead? i mean i have fuzzies here for my snake and my girlfriends anyway, but should i get some rats in also?

Rats are better as they have more nutrients etc.Fuzzies might be a bit small. The earliest you can get her on rats the better but mice are ok. It's probably best to let her settle for around a week before offering food. It'll be good if you can post some pics

Go for something around the same girth as the snake. My snakes not on rats yet as the local shop stil doesn't have any. So couldn't say for sure, probly rat pups would do or small weaners. depends on the size of them compared to the girth of the snake. I don't suppose you know her weight yet?

I would have thought Rat Pups would be fine from birth, just pick the smallest ones out first.
