So what is it about snakes that makes them so attractive?

I spend 75% of my spare cash on my snakes, sometimes all of my spare cash..

why do you think once you have one there has to be more...?

and why when going round the house is there always a plan to move or get rid of something so you can add another viv...lol..

I cant explain it, i think about it often and when im asked im a bit stumped for an answer. I always seem to blurt out that i just love them which is pretty lame but i do

I know what you mean, i have a fold away dinning table which is taking up space when i could easily have a viv stack in its place, lol ....

I thinks it cos they are different and not native to our country so they are abit special. For me i love that there is so much to learn and read about reguarding the habitit, genetics and general keeping of the snake.
I find it facinating how they eat the size of prey they do, and how they can just stay dormant laying in wait for the chance of the a meal for ages...patiently, the fact that they can go months without food with no ill effects. How they can be so big and yet fit in to the smallest hide...how they shed their skin...how their tongue flicks out...how the eyes are constantly open even when asleep.(which i still cant understand ), the different colours, morphs....there is so much....

i`ve only had my Royal for 5 weeks and am absolutely fascinated by her, been reading about the different morphs and don`t understand any of it however they look so cool. I find the Royals to be the most beautiful snakes i dont get that with Boa`s or Corns.

Royals owned "lots"

I thought my husband's fascination with snakes stems from the fact that most of the people out there are scared of them.

But then, we got our first snake and the kids are head over heels in love with them... I mean, they love the snakes more than they do the dog! Now, my 4-year-old niece doesn't like the snakes. So... I don't know what it is. Boys will be boys?

I'm more fascinated with the rats than the snakes... I guess coz I'm a girl? Well, that can't be... because wolfy is a girl...
