The snake was getting quite wary but at least it was well supervised. But saying that, both animals can move faster that you can react. |

Not the brightest thing to do with two pets that the owner supposedly cares about. Saying that, life wouldn't be quite the same if the world was full of sensible people. You gotta have idiots too to balance out the equilibrium I suppose |

they wrote "I would never put my animals in a position that would get them hurt. As you can see my wife stops the cat a few times from trying to get to the snake." but would she of been quick enough to stop the snake from striking, dont think so!

Whoa... crazy people for sure.
It takes one swipe from the cat to do big damage, supervised or not. One strike from that snake is not quite as bad, but still bad in the sense that it is completely avoidable.
When I was little, we had a pet cat. This was in the Philippines. A wild snake came into the yard (I don't know what kind of snake, but it was a constrictor) and the cat immediately pounced on it. The snake struck numerous times but the cat was quick to avoid the strikes, but the snake was able to wrap itself around the cat. Mind you, this snake was not little - but not too big either. Probably around 3 feet long. Anyway, the cat just weaved its body out of the coil without a hassle. Then he took big swipes of his claws and the snake was dead. It didn't take long at all!
