Hi all
After wanting a python for years, I finally got one the other day from someone I used to work with. They bought it as a spure of the moment thing and (I think) didnt really take great care of her.
I am new to this so hope you guys can help me along
I picked her up 2 days ago and the first night got stuck behind the bulb cage. (which I have moved closer to the back), but she has a black mark on her back. Is this part of shedding or has she been burnt ???
When I got her the viv was nearly empty so I have purchased a few bits and plan to get some more this week.
Sorry to sound so amateur, but I am dying to take take good care of her, and feel sorry for her the way she was treated
All advice welcome |

Hi, welcome to the forum, the black mark sounds like it could be a burn, can you put a picture up? |

Hello Lee and welcome. Ask as many questions as you want. Nobody will take the p**s because you want to learn .
Could be a burn or just the markings. I was looking at a Dumeril's Boa the other day who's marking looked like someone had been at it with a chef's blowtorch. As BE said, post a pic please and we should be able to tell. |

The first pic is a bit blurry She is constantly on the move and has been for the last few hours so she seems happy enough. Is this something I need to worry about ??

Hi Lee and welcome. You are in the right place. It has been said but i'll say it again. Everyone on here is very friendly and will help with what ever they can. the fact that you want to learn and are dying to look after means you are on the right track.
I would say that does look very like a burn as well. but it doesn't look to serious.

Will this heal or go away after shedding ???
I still have so many questions. I will post a pic of my set-up later, so all opinions/criticism will be greatly accepted |
