Hi everyone. I am new to the site. I have not yet bought my snake but I have registered to see if I can gain any more useful info in order to provide the best conditions for it when I do get it. If anyone has any helpfull tips for me then I would be glad of the help. |

Hi, I am also new to the site, but at least you did things the right way round and are doing research before getting your snake...
I found I learnt more reading the posts these guys have left than any article on the net.
Happy reading :) |

HI Lee Thanks for the reply. I have done loads of reading on the net and found a few conflicting opinions so I was wanting to find out what the people who have the experience think. I am sure i will learn more that way and i look forward to reading peoples comments. |

Hi Russ and welcome.
i done the same as you. done a lot of reading found conflicting opinions and joined here to get the right answers. One tip the search function on here is great for answering questions which you think most people have asked. ( helpful to answer the conflicting opinions you found in previous reading. second tip if you are going to use a heat lamp rather than a mat. do not pruchase the heat guards that are sold on ebay with the square wire mesh. while they may be great for adult snakes they are really dangerous for hatchlings as they can squeeze through the wire. ( this i discovered in a panic last night, lucky no injury to snake, the only one who got burnt was me)
if you are good at diy or even just alright at diy check out the viv building post in the diy section. You could safe yourself a good few pound..
thats all from me, have fun on here everyone is great and a big help when you need it. |

Hi Russ
The care sheet on here covers the basics, but anything specific feel free to ask. I found lots of conflicting info too before I came here. |
