Hi, just bought some orchard bark substraight for my royal from coast to coast in darlington, which is a good reptile shop, it was their product and i just had to sccoop it out of a box, when i got home i found a centipead in hte substraight and a few other little bugs, i thought as it came from a reptile shop it would be ready to use and already treated, will these bugs matter and if so, how shud i treat the substraight? |

hi there
orchid bark needs to be baked in the oven at 160 for at least an hour...

With orchard bark it is recommended to either freeze it or bake it...I personnally would bake it.
I think its recommend that you bake it at 160*C for 90 mins...that should kill off all the little nasty bugs... |
