I was wondering. What are your thoughts on handling your Royal? When/when not and how often?

| I dont handle mine much, maybe once a week for 15 mins. Its hard to enjoy it when you know they are bricking it. That said, they are great snakes and good to watch. |

I probably only handle mine 2-3 times a month...Mainly just on weigh day or cleaning day...and then for only a few minutes...
But this is not cos its a royal. I dont handle any of my reps much at all...prefere just to watch them and let them feel safe and secure and hopefully act natural...
I think they are fine if handled a couple of times a week for 10-15 mins. Only time not to, is after a feed and when in shed. |

I handle mine about the same. No more than 20 minutes once a week. She goes off her food if I handle her more than that.  |

I handle Obran my 07 a few times a week. He seems to really enjoy the stimulation of coming out and isnt shy at all. The only time i dont handle him is a day before and two days after he has fed which is every 10-12 days!
If he was shy or seemed uncomfortable being handled i wouldnt handle as much but as it is i had to get another one so i could handle that on the days i cant/ dont handle Obran, lol ... granted he is soo new so on strikly feeding mode only for a few weeks with a cheeky 'cuddle' inbetween  |

i handle my royal around once a week..sometimes more,
i would handle everyday if i could, but i want them to keep feeding..lol.. |

| i handle mine (when feeding regulary) as and when i want but is more to make sure they are ok and not more than 10mins 1-2times a week mainly do it at water changung time. i have my corns to handle they tolorate it more well mine do. |

| When I first got back into snakes I handled Stig everyday for about 10 mins, now he is lucky if he gets 10 mins a week/fortnight. |
