I realise it's not a great picture. My camera skills are weak this evening.

There's a stone / slate hide at the cool side and a cork bark / stone hide under the hot end. Lots of little branches scattered around the bottom.

Does it look ok?

Looking good, though the branch may be a bit steep for it to use the top half unless its easy to grip.

Looks great, the only thing that I could see that may be a problem is the guard, as long as it has all four sides covered then ok, but if it is only the three and the base then your snakie could get through the small gap between the cage and the vent.

looks good. what age/size is your royal. only ask as if it is a very young hatchling it will be able ti squeeze through the holes in you heat guard. I know from past experience with that style of guard.

The guard is a five sided one and the snake I'm looking at getting is a late 07 hatch.

In truth I'm not sure I will get it. It's being sold on a first come first served basis and the owner only seems to be online once a day. I'm not getting my hopes up and keeping my options open for now.

all is good then. I see a few wires coming out the front on the picture. I assume they are your digital thermometer probes etc.

Finger crossed for you and even if you don't manage to get this one at least you'll be all set up for when you find another.

Ignore the wires bottom right they were something else. The temperature probe (white wire down the back) comes in via the back and the thermometer probe not in the pic at the time follows the same path.

I've reserved the royal for collection on monday. It's a late 07 hatch male. Was a problem feeder but now eating well. Current weight 333g

is that meant to be the thermometer and thermostat? Do you have a second thermometer for your cool side?

Sorry yes thermostat probe and thermometer probe. I've got a free standing digital thermometer/hygrometer on the cool side at the moment. I'll replace it with a probe one later on.

What do you guys have the hot side set at? I had it at 92F but then read that this is actually a maximum temperature and 86F is fine (?)
