i just weighed Athena and she's heavier than i thought.
Although she was not empty completely empty (she did a very small poo and quite a lot of pee a week ago and has been fed since) she weighs in at dead on 350g.
i have some young rats in the freezer that weigh about 45g (no less than 42g no more than 50g)
in theory they are the right size for her (according to the 10-15% of snake weight:prey weight) but they are quite long... does this make a difference?
she's being fed on extra large mice atm... but these dont even begin to leave a bump.
is it a bad idea to try her with these rats or should i get something different? or keep her on these mice?

behind her (though a distance behind) is one of her hides. it's a normal cat food pouch box which when tightly coiled she fills 3/4 of approx. when relaxed she fills it all. if thathelps with a vague idea of her size lol.

Peanut was just over 350g when i had to give him large weaners, he managed it ok, just took him a bit longer...

maybe give them to her but stretch her feeds to 8 days or 9 days

that's what i did with Peanut for the first few till he got used to them...

these ones are thin enough to definately not cause a problem... but the length worried me more than anything :s
