bought a pulse stat today to go with ceramic bulb, the probe that goes with it at moment is about 3 inches from bulb, where is the ideal place to put it?
best place for any stat probe is directly on the substrate, either above or below your heat source, this way it reads the temp that your snake will feel. hope this helps, scott
I have my probes attached to the rear of the viv wall under the heat source...as long as you are measuring the temp using a good quality thermometer (digital is wot i use) to set the temps and not the dial on the stat it should be ok...
