I was just wondering if any of you guys have built ur own vivariums as they appear to be quite steep in price for a large one.

If u have .. is it easy?

the 3 x 3' stack was pretty straight forward, so was the viv i converted from an old kitchen unit.
for the 4ft stack i bought a flat pack wardrobe from Ikea as they were selling some off cheap that had slight chips and damaged boxes. that gave us enough wood and at a very good price too! glass runners, vents and perspex can all be sourced, if you ask on TCS there's plenty of people who can make recommendations.

you could also have a look at this for a rough guide

try this one from TCS, both dazb and myself have made these and they are quite easy to do once you get the wood cut from those nice orange diy guys

I've built both of mine. How easy it is depends on what you use.

Money wise I saved about £50 (1/2) on the shop bought ones for a 4x2x1.5
