size look ok to me...
i feed my 06 the same size rat weener as i do my 8 month old every 7 days. i am doing this just to get her feeding well then will be moving up to adult rats. She is still putting on weight. I would just be happy he is eating and if she carrys on just move up the size of rat and cut down the period between feeds.
how old is he?? wots his weight?? |

i brought some big rats that the bloke i got him from says he was on but they look way to big and i talked to the man at my local reptile shop said they would be to big and to feed him 2 of these that he had but like i said he wont take the second. just tried again with the second one and he has just taken it which makes me feel better. |

Queenie's only on small meals but quite frequently - every 5 days. he flatly refuses to take anything bigger or multiple prey items either. i keep trying him on bigger every now and again but i guess he'll just take it when he's ready |

My 08 takes them and bigger, maybe try on bigger if the previous owner said he took them, then just feed once every two - three weeks on a large rat. Once Stig hits 1yr old he will be fed every two weeks and no earlier... |

Every two weeks?
Is it best for them to have bigger food and less often or smaller food and more frequently? |

i will try that next time i will try giving him one of the bigger rats see how he gets on with it the big rats i have are roughly the same size as the thickest part of his body, i also have a set of digital scales to weigh him on so in a couple of days i will weigh him. I will try and feed him a large every 10 or 11 days i think. |

When they're young more often than when they are older.
When adult, every 2 - 3 weeks is quite normal. |
