I remember getting confused when I first started so thought i'd give a guide on the abbreviations!
cb - captive bred
cf - captive farmed
ltc - long term captive
wc - wild caught (or wild collected)
het - heterozygous -het - heterozygous - An organism is a heterozygote or is heterozygous at a locus or gene when it has different alleles occupying the gene's position in each of the homologous chromosomes
1.2.3 - refers to sexed animals. in this example 1 male, 2 females and 3 unknown - male.female.unknown
pk - pre killed
fk - fresh killed
ft - frozen thawed
RI - respiratoy infection |
