I've seen two kinds of guards on t'interweb for bulbs, but is there any difference between these two? http://www.888reptiles.co.uk/productsearchkeywords.php?productsearch=guard&x=0&y=0
I mean, for the sake of 3 quid I'll probably get the one that says ceramic guard, but it looks like its going to block more of the heat?
Shame I can't get to a york rep night, be a damn sight cheaper than this!

i'm sure reptiles-ink would do postage and you can buy hinged ones (easy to change the bulb) and all sorts of colours from him. if you're paying postage from 888 i don't imagine it would make it much different if Dave could post out |

Just to check, so there is a difference between the normal ones and the ceramic? I prefer the look of the normal one more than the ceramic, but if its a case of it melting or something then I'll go for the ceramic one. |

It depends what you're putting in it. They won't melt, but ceramics can get a lot hotter so need bigger guards.
Do you have an account on the dark side? - that's where you'll find Dave. |
