hi, im new to havin a snake as a pet, and today i had him out, and my flat mate was playing with a rugby ball quite near, just throwing it up and down in his hands. well my snake looked straight at him and then struck out at him, which he has never done before, and then he did it again, so i put him back in his viv. i left him for a few hours and then got him out again and he stayed very still with his neck arched (which when i pick him up normaly it is just the same), only now it seems different?

you have to remember your snake is small compared to one of us, and they dont like fast movements it scares them. Treat them like a delicate flower, carefully, it would not take much to upset them and you could end up with a stressed a non feeder...
