Good news! Yes! I've got a CB female royal python from Colin at Scales & Tails in Penryn, Cornwall! Picking her up on Saturday - hopefully!
The set-up is ready - but i was wondering, the wood undernath it has become quite hot. Is it okay to leave it like this or shall i put something underneath? If so? Is polystirine okay to use for underneath it? |

The set-up is on my cgest-of-draws, and the wood underneath it is getting hot because of the heat mat. |

SHE'S HOME! AT LAST!
I will wait until Wednesday until i hold her. And i will wait intil next weekend until i feed her.
One question, though: Last night, she struck at my dad. He didn't try to pick her up or anything, he was just looking through the glass of her tank and she struck. But it was nightime and it was her first night.
Is this normal? Is she just settling in or what? |

probably stressed by the move and unfamiliar surroundings. i'd give her a week to settle in, then try a fedd, wait 48hrs for her to digest it then start handling her. |

Thanks for the help.
I'm calling her Rosie.
Since that - she has actully been one of the most docile snakes i've ever seen!
I haven't held her yet - i'll probley leave that for a couple more days - but earlier today, i went to change her water, and she came out of her hide to see what was going on.
So with one hand, i just stroked her back. And she was fine. Didn't strike, hiss, move - didn't even curl up into a ball - she was great. |
