For some reason my temps dont seem right, using a infra red bulb im getting 90 in the warm end(out side hide) but inside the warm hide it's only 80,do i up the temps so it's right in the hide and very hot outside or leave it be?never used to have this problem until i repositioned the vivs, there stacked in the same order just in a differant part of the room.

To be honest, the hide doesn't need to be the hottest part, but I'd want the warm hide at at least 85F.

i have mine at 32-34*C on roof of hide and wot ever is in the hide is wot it is.

it will prod be 1-2*C cooler but as ive found out the ambint temp is more important than a hot spot of 32*C.

i think, new to this way of heating...

edit: spelling

yeah but you will create a basking spot(top of hide) of 32-35*C which is ok.

its ok i got it 90*F...

all im saying is that if you increase the temp outside up to say 93-94*F
this will increase the temp inside the hide to around 90*F and create a basking spot for him on top.

Wot hide is it...?

my thermo's are on top of the warm hide & 30-35c sofia seems happy enough, as long as you've got a difference in warm to cold end it's working for me

by the way mine is about 10-15 degrees different

i have an exo terra one and the temp difference is about 2*C from on top to inside... have my thermometer on the top and keep a temp of 34*C as a basking spot if she wants to come out and lay there (i wish) and it drops to 22*C at the cool end...
