When I go to pick Zavvi up her head shakes. Can snakes shake out of nervousness? Its like when someone has to stand up infront of a croud and shakes because they are nervous. 30mins ago I went over to her RUB, took the lid off and went to sit on my bed which is about 4ft away from the RUB. She stuck her head up for a good look and after about 5mins of this I slowly went over to take her out. When she saw me she started shaking her head and darted back into her hide. I let her know I was there so I didnt spook her. Edit - spelling
Could just be an inbuilt reflex. Most of their natural predators attack them from above. If you are approaching her from above it could be part of her reacting to that out of pure instinct. She'll get used to it eventually. Sounds silly but I talk to Sherman with the viv door open before I try to pick him/her up. It seems to work even though it makes me look like a nutter .
