When you have dealt with mites, what have you done with Waterbowls/Hides/Wood etc?
Spray with Frontline/Bake in oven etc or thrown it all out? |

Disposable hides are the best until you know they've gone for good.
Kill them BE! It's satisfying.
How's the frontline working out? |

They should be fine if you disinfect them and leave them out until everythings clear. Plus you can use frontline on those too if you are worried. I think I used Mite off on mine, but disinfectant and boiling water should do the trick too.
Don't think I'd reuse wood though. Too many places to hide. |

Well, he had the Frontline on Monday and although it does seem to be improving (hope I'm not kidding myself), there are still quite a few on him under the scales, so he's just had a like warm water/olive oil bath. |

The olive oil will be good will suffocate them..

Are you still trying to rid your snake of them? |

Do you want to use some of our Mite off on Saffy? It's not as potent as Frontline so there's no risks, so it won't hurt to treat her just in case |

Yes, most mites come in on wild caught specimens, so they must be rife in the wild. I know that the reptile mite will only ever live on reps, as mammals and birds can't catch them. |
