Just a quick question, the yearling I'm looking at getting is male, and every time I've gone into the shop he's always out just chilling on either side of his viv, doesnt seem phased at all he just sits nice and still. Is this usually a good sign that he will be quite mild tempered and not shy? |

Not shy...that depends. does he have any hides in his current viv. IMO most shops dont have enough in to make sure the snake is on display.
As for mild tempered ask to have a hold of him you will soon tell but saying that most royals are big softies... |

Yeah he has a really good Viv with 4 hides in, one is a long hollowed log that stretches 2/3 of the floor space. Yeah I will ask to have a hold :) |

the last few (disreputable? unreputable? bad?) rep shops i've been in have had awful set ups, particularly for the royals, purely so they're on display to get a sale |
Dumerils boas, BCO hybrids, Sinder Hypo boas, cornsnakes, ratsnakes, Day Geckos

Aaw Well I go to Viper and Vine in Manchester which I'm told is very reputable, and the setup they had for the male python was real good from what I gather of a coupla months research. I know a lot of people will vouch for this shop and people come from all over the country to go in so I'm pretty sure they don't need to upsell anything. |
