So my boa was still not eating so I took him to the vet this morning. Although the symptoms haven't got worse he seems to have a respiratory infection. He's on antibiotics now, but he was also wormed - something I never realised was necessary.

The vet gave me some reptoboost as well, so between all that I'm hoping there will be a good chow down in the next week or so.

Errrr, okay I'd be very interested in the results of the worming (and the price) I've never heard of anyone getting their snake wormed before.

I'd never heard of that either, but he's the only reptile very in the country so I'm going with his advice.

Well there you go. The vet said he may not need wormed but if he's sick and has worms then getting rid of the worms will help.

I've learned something new anyway! He's given me some more worm medicine to administer in December (just inject into a rat). Hopefully he'll be feeding by then. He's in blue now so I'm going to have to wait until after the shed to re-administer the antibiotics.
