i have just checked on my royal and discoverd this he was fine this morning and think he may have got stuck somewere in the viv and freed himself but can not find where the damage looks quite severe and dont know what action to take at this verey moment in time please help or advise if there is a way i can treat it at this moment with something to prevent infection or wether vetenary action should be taken immediatly and will they grow back :(

Needs a vet fella, thats extensive. Anything you do will only be painful and delaying proper treatment.

Take everything out of the vivarium, you need it clinically clean and dry, free from substrate and everything but smooth sided hides.

I would call the vet now, it wont be cheap to get an emergency appointment but if it was me I wouldn't delay.

Burn?? What are you using for heat?? That kind of injury looks remarkable like what I've seen of unguarded bulbs. Definitely a vet job, as soon as possible - that's ripe for infection.

Hope he gets the treatment he needs - keep us posted!

Could be a burn,But don't really look like one.what are you keeping him in?that rub in the pic?I don't know anything in a rub that would do that.

Unless he's got stuck in a hide or something you have put in there?

as said remove everything from the viv/rub with just kitchen roll an smooth hides then to vets asap.
dont look like a burn to me looks like hes got stuck somewhere an ripped the skin off, also make sure theres no aspen or anything stuck to/in the wound
