Hi what temp readings are you getting directly under your ceramic, just wondering as mine has gone up from 33 to 36 and I have not touched it, is it due to colder nights,.I am using a dark spot ceramic 250watt in a 4ft ex viv.

If the thermostat probe is directly under the ceramic then it wont falter from the set temperature more than a point of a degree or two. If its mounted anywhere else then when it drops colder the bulb will increase in power. No stat then it will always be a full whack and turn a vivarium into an oven.

I use a pulse stat with the ceramic , the probe is just off center under the ceramic , also got a temp probe attached to the stat probe.
