i have a question, do you think matilda is likely to try to eat my cat. she was showing a real interest in her tonight and i am unsure as to whether or not she was sizing her up so to speak. my cat is a big fat lazy lump lol, no chance tilds could eat her even when full grown cause she is massive at almost 9kilos lol (shes a big girl) but whats the chances of tilds goin for her??? |

We have cats and my snakes don't pay them any interest. The cats can often be found curled up in front of the vivs and even watching the snakes. None of the snakes have ever striked at the cats while they are in front of their vivs. I do however never let them meet when i get the snakes out just to be safe |

I would say if your royal makes an attempt to eat your cat, you've been miss sold a snake! |

My cat sometimes tries to play the boa up but that's only because they're at eye level with each other
Apart from that they're not really interested in each other
I would only expect something the size of a berm/afrock etc to consider a large domestic cat as food |

We also have cats (x5) and they seem to be a bit afraid of the snakes but we do have to be carefull getting snakes out around the cats as we do not want harm on either side. There is always a chance cat could attack snake or vice versa. As Jayde says unlikely your snake would eat your cat but I would not bet the other way round. |

I've got a dog and she's so interested in my snakes whenever she hears me unlock their vivs she legs it upstairs and sits and stares at them (although she's never actually tried to go near them, I think she's just curious!)
But my royals don't seem to pay any attention to her.. and she's a white westie so I suppose she could look like a massive mouse haha. |
