What do you guys do to unwind , relax or cheer yourself up when you have had a bad day ?
Reason I ask , is someone upset me last nite and I still feel pretty crappy today .
Handling snakes is normally great therapy but everyone has just fed . So I took the dog for a looong walk and am now going to watch crappy tv shows I think !
What do u all do to unwind ? |

I'm afraid I have to agree with alcohol. But other things that work with me are listening to some chillaxing music through my headphones. There's something about lisening to music through headphones that's better than without.
I make stuff. Doesn't matter if your good at it or not, I'd always say just start something. The kids I work with always say they're not doing it 'cause they can't, but once they get stuck in it chills them right down. I think it's just the consentration that takes your mind off things. It does work.
I go for long walks as well. But sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The trick for me is to go walking somwehere new, that's I've never been before. If you have to consentrate on where you are and how to get back again you have less time to think about other things. And if you manage to get lost then that can work even better ; )
Read a book. That can work. Something you know you'll get stuck into.
For me, at the end of the day, it depends what mood I'm in. People upset you in different ways and in turn I think it can make you need different things to get your mind off it. You just have to find what that thing(s) is.
...or make some bread or pasta dough (you don't have to nessaseraly go the whole way and make the bread or pasta). Punching and pulling apart dough is a great fix for getting some anger out! And the more you do it the tougher the dough gets, so it can feel better the more you go for it. Exelent ; )

Long walks and fresh air usually help me de-stress. If however that's not an option then Alcohol and listening to music/getting lost in a good book or film usually helps.
If all else fails then I phone my sister or best mate and have a rant! LOL |

Thanks for all the great suggestions guys ! I was just really fed up and upset managed to rant at the other half and had a great guy to speak to at the time it was going on .
Hmm do u think that I could be arrested for example if I did the majority of the things above in one go ?
Get drunk , go for a walk while eating chocolate , perhaps abit of pasta gating in the great outdoors and then picking to play fight with someone ? Haha !
I paint models warhammer ones , don't play it but love to paint them I kno sad yes , but that helps |
