Hey guys

Does anyone here keep any birds of prey or do falconry at all? I've been thinking about getting myself a Harris Hawk lately, found a chap who'se going to start teaching me how to handle and fly them next week then hopefully next year when the little ones are born I'll be getting my own.

Most epic thread of the year!

Having a bird of prey has been a dream of mine for years. One that will probably never be realized.

Really looking forward to see how this pans out for you, BOP are soooo cool

Haha yeah I started looking last year but lost the idea around the time I got all the eggs and such, was talking to the missus about it alot since and we decided it's something that would be fun.

Harris hawks are brilliant. My uncle and his family kept them before they emigrated to New Zealand earlier this year. I always loved being around when things were going on with them, (apart from when he had Blade his female out.. she absolutely hated any form of female species near her! She would just go into a frenzy.. bit of a weird one!!) and is definitely something a little different to get into, especially when looking for something outside of the 'exotics' hobby. Will most certainly be interested to see and hear how things are going :)
