theres a little cardboard hide behind all the plants an i need a torch to see where he is half the time.

now hes had 2 feed's without any problem's he will get a small mouse next time, i gave him the rat pup's first as he had not eaten for 6 weeks so didnt want ot give him anything that he might regurge just to be safe

Andrew that owns our local rep shop has a few Burms, he's going to breed them, last time we were in there he gave me his young Albino female to hold. I think she was a little bit bigger than your lad but hard to tell from pictures.

Having said that he looks in fine condition, certainly not thin and yeah he does look bigger but then they grow fast so he probably gained half an inch. I think he'll have no trouble downing a small mouse :)

he is probably just over a foot an could take something bigger than a small mouse but he will be grown on slowley i cant stand it when people stuff burms/retics/afrocks ect with as much as they can eat just to get them huge quickly.

i do like albino's i just dont get the massive appeal of most people having to have an albino

Neither do I, I prefer rich colours, but she was a pretty yellow :)

Why feed on for massive growth anyway, its not good for the snake or the owner imo lol

exactly, i would rather see the giants being slightly on the lean side much better for a healthy long life rather that being obese an not living much past 10 years

When we took Slinky to the vet to be sexed, he said it was a treat to see a snake in such good condition, and that 90% that he sees are overweight, and the main cause of ill health.
I kept her on mice until she was a year old, hense the reason I started that mice/rats debate that failed lol

Snakes shouldn't be fat..damn pets shouldn't be fat although many are. So yes I totally agree, a snake on the lean side is how they should be, and that isn't thin..just healthy :)

unless the snake in question is a blood python.
it annoys me when you see fat dogs especially rottweilers they should not be massive fat things.
my mum has a jack russell x chiwawa an she was pretty chunky whe we got her it took ages to get her a bit slimmer she gets half of what the other 2 eat otherwise she just piles on the pounds very quickly.

just measured giblet(that name seems to be sticking) and hes 2ft give or take an inch, feeding day tomorrow an will be getting a nice small mouse instead of the little rat pups

Giblet is a good name, that's what Katana had wanted to name Slinky :)
Hope he feeds well for you, i'm sure he will tho.
2ft is a good size, nice steady growth..just right.
