So, because Noodle is new and we want to see what he's up to, we peer into the viv from time to time to see if he's active. If he's awake, he tends to lay with his head and a couple of inches of his body outside the entrance to his hide. When we're looking in, he seems to react to our movement and move towards us a bit. Occasionally he will open his mouth in what I'm presuming is a yawn and then usually retreats back into his hide. Is he just reacting to our movement and is curious or does he think there is potential prey out there?
So, I'm fairly sure that he can see us but I'm not sure if we're stressing him out. Also, is he yawning or is he being aggressive? Don't get me wrong, we're not leering in at him every five minutes or tapping on the glass or anything like that but I don't want to stress him unduly. What do you all think?

The opening of his mouth isn't an aggressive sign :) their "yawn" is one of my favourite things they do, a snakes mouth is so cool...
One if mine, who is really friendly lays with her head a out of her hide just like that and retreats back the minute there's any movement around her viv so it's all good

| my royas tend to completely ignore me when i pull the rubs out and have a nosey, but the carpet python is soooo nosey! whenever anyone so much as enters the room he is periscoped right up to the glass watching and following us around the room! |
