Hi guys,

I've just tried feeding Noodle and he struck but missed and got a bit of bark stuck in his jaw, he got rid of it and struck again but missed. I've left the fuzzie in the viv but he seems to have lost interest and is going over and sniffing at it every now and then. Should I leave the food in the viv and if so for how long?

Thanks!

Just leave it in over night then dispose of it in morning when u get up if its still there. Keep it on cool side tho cause you don't wanna come down the stairs to the smell of roasted rat lol

If he doesn't take it over night should I try with a fresh one tomorrow?

Wow! I went to move the fuzzie and just as I picked it up, wham! A beautiful strike! He's now swallowed it and hopefully all is well!

No I would just leave it another 5 days, good feeding response you had tonight so don't get worrying about it.

If he`s striking and missing i`d say your food item needs to be warmer.

Hmm, good point. I've been wrapping the fuzzie in cling film and then holding it in my hand to warm it. Is there a better method? This is my first snake so I'm constantly learning!
