Well guys from what I can see it is a BCC. From what I've been told but will be taking him to be confirmed n sexed. Apparently it's a male but not 100%. He's 5 years old. Recent owner had for two years.
If anyone can tell me if he is a BCC then please say. Only got a few pics as had cleaned his tank. Handled him etc n will be bed time soon. Lol
He has just had a shed. And the last owner didn't really help with the odd parts so I'm going out to get something for him to rub up against etc to remove loose bits. So please mind the shedding.
He's about 6-7 foot stretch. So will be nice to see.
Please enjoy the pics so far.
His tank all cleaned under the red footed tortoise..
Getting used to me. God he's a weight...
I won't let go... Like I have a choice...
Chilling on the floor...
Chilling..

Thanks Richard I shall be going to look for some food this week as he was fed 3 weeks ago so maybe a large rat for him.
And Chris. Yeah he's settling in well. Left alone last night to get used to his tank as I cleaned out n tidied it up etc and a warm bath is on the calendar for today/ Tomo. Hopefully he'll poo etc too.
I'm looking forward to this one. He's gonna be a commitment to enjoy. |

Sounds like they left it a bit long between feeds lol if he is on rats I'd feed every 10-14 days to fatten him up a bit |

mine loves to soak so when in shed he has a big rub of water in the viv which he spends most of his time in.
william is 7ft an usually gets an xl rat every 2 weeks, something like a small rat would be about right for yours going by the pics |

Took him to see a reptile guy n yes he is a male. But he also says he's a common but hardly looked at him. Which I thought was odd. So gonna get a second opinion. As I only got a heat mat. I'm going to buy a thermostat n ceramic bulb etc for him this week. To boost heat. As I feel he's not warm enough to eat. So gonna get a proper set up. N as he is very slim. I'm going to start on smaller food every week so I no he's eating and not going to regurgitate. So in time he should be a fat fit boy
He had a lovely soak in the bath.
Destroyed the handles
Then wanted to destroy the taps. After I moved everything from around the bath lmao
So quite a good swim. Removed most of his loose bits which I'm happy with. Then while I was at shop I got a very large bag of dark bark for him. Omg what a change. Looks so much better than paper. While I was there I resealed all of my tank :-) and a few branches from the garden bushes to add life to it. From this;
To...
Now my next task is to remove the back as it only pinned on. To a thick board n some strong fixings. So he doesn't push through and also to make it look better. Will then make a 3" vent in the back too.
Ordered up two digital thermometers and humid gauge for him. And a second sliding door lock to replace the one I nicked from my python. For kids safety lol Will be integrating them into tank aswell :)

Yeah I got wood chip in my python tank. But the bark is much better for boa as now he had something to rub against. So should help with further sheds. |

i like the look of bark an the bigger snake's just move the aspen all over the place.
i would sand down or cut the end off that bit of branch just so he doesnt catch himself on the pointy bit's |
