Hey guys was just doing a little reading and messing about with
the morph calculator, to then search for the desert morph. Some
people where talkin about the fertility issue with female deserts?
Does anyone know anything specific about this? Would be a shame,
I really wanted to get my hands on one :(

Pretty much as above

There was some speculation a few years ago that someone had a viable clutch from a female desert. Sadly it proved to be nothing other than speculation. To this day there has been no cast iron evidence that a female desert has layed an egg that has hatched

More worryingly, some breeders have reported that their females have become egg bound and have passed away, either after surgery or prior to any veterinary attention

Such a shame for such an amazing co dom morph to have such a crushing flaw. The trait is passed over to multiple gene females as well

female deserts are infertile. unfortunatly people are still trying to breed them, and a number of them have ended dead because of being bred.
saying that, there is one thing better than a desert, a desert ghost (not to be associated with the desert morph). a recessive gene that makes anything better!!!!

unfortunatly desert ghosts dont have such a good price tag, with cpr selling a male for just over 2 grand, and the hets this year will likely cost about 1500 a pair
and that bumblebee dg del, omg, the things i would do for that!! the things i would do for just a pair of hets or one visual!!!
