Hi,
This might sound like an odd question but my Royal buzz has looked like he has been going no shed for nearly a month now. When he was having his feeding issues (which are sorted now)I took him to the breeder as they wanted to see him. They said he was starting to shed then.
At home he was rubbing his head on everything and small tiny bits of skin were coming off (about 1mm in size) he shed his eye caps in small bits. The odd thing is his skin doesn't look like it is about to shed and he has since stopped rubbing his head. He has a few dryer looking bits that have lifted on his nose and the top of his head looks a bit like it is about to go.
He was very dehydrated and underweight from not eating, I have given given him a good soak tonight and he looks better. Could this be why? (probably a silly question).
It might just be me worrying about it too much but with my lizards they have always shed and it is obvious.
He is pooing and eating fine and has taken the last 4 feeds no problem. I have been keeping humidity up as well. Is there such thing as a missed shed? I'll stop rambling now but any advice will be appreciated.

he could have split the shed so all the fluid that they release to losen the skin has come out an the shed is not coming off, i had a rat snake do this a few time's an had to shed him.
give him another warm bath for 15-20 minute's an put a small towel in the water with him so he can rub against it, once he's been in there a while rub him down/hold the towl round him an see if that get's it off |

| I can bet my last pound that your humidity will be far to low, it can happen at this time of year when your central heating will be kicking in a couple of times seat |

hi Guys,
Thanks for the replies. I gave him a bath a couple of days ago and he has now pretty much shed all of his skin. With regards to the humidity I have kept it up a fair bit but he still didn't shed. The bath worked wonders, very pleased now. Cheers
