As some of you already know, 3 weeks ago when Steve was away I had my Furby out. I set him on the sofa, curled up while I cleaned the hob. A mix of cleaning chemicals on the clost..I passed out, hit my head and was out cold.
Anyway when I came to and crawled back to sofa, by darling Boa was gone.

I searched everywhere except where he had been, cos yesterday Steve found him, but we were too late..he had died.

I am heartbroken, I loved my Furby.

Please don't take this the wrong way but why on earth would you leave a snake on the sofa whilst in another room to clean?

I'd never leave a snake unattended.

When I clean mine out I wont even lay one on the floor incase it slithers off – very difficult disinfecting rubs with one hand.

Depends on the room really I often leave the bigger ones to slither while I clean if it's in a room with no obvious exits - I believe Furby was about 6' so chances of losing her were slim. Still always the chance though a great idea to have a spare RUB or snake bag to place them in during cleaning. I think this has just been a rather painful lesson to Janie, we've all lost snakes but it's uncommon for one to wind up dead :(
