Hello,

Pretty much as the topic stated, my lovely little crested gecko appears to have lost his ability to stick :(

It is only apparent on glass and isolated to his front left foot, to my knowledge he hasn't sustained any injury to it and he's still eating fine. I don't think it's causing him pain because he keeps trying to use it but when he applies pressure to move off it just slides down the glass.

Has anyone seen this before or does anybody have any idea how I can help him? It's been this way for a few weeks now.

Thanks!

sounds like he's either

a) in shed or
b) about to shed

Lynds, just give the viv a light misting morning and evening and he'll be fine :D

could be heads about to shed , or he may have trod in his food . i woukld wet some kitchen roll in a cricket tub with a very small layer of water too and then give them a steam . you can also use a cotton bud in water and roll it on their pads as it helps remove stuck shed / food

Cool, thanks for all your replies! I'll give the viv a spray for starters and see if it helps, then work my way through all the suggestions if it doesn't, thanks again :)

I had to do it with a couple of babies last year they were forever stepping in their food and also didn't shed feet properly
