Hi every1 i have been reading up a bit on spider royals having a head wobble. Now my boy has a slight wobble nothing major just if he puts his head up towords the roof of his viv he might loose it and kinda spin back round on himself if u know what i mean but he doesnt loose it everytime. he is fine when moving around his viv normaly or out getting handled or exploring around the room floor so he realy isnt bad. He has eaten everytime i hav offered food but i have read that the wobble can get worse with age now he is about 12/13 months (775 grams) so my question is is it as bad as its going to get or will it get worse when he is fully mature and a full grown adult i have watched a few videos on youtube and some of the poor snakes on there can hardly move because of this :( im realy hoping my boy doesnt get like this

Thanks in advance

I've got a spider het albino that weighs 900g+. Until a month ago she'd never shown any signs of head wobble then one night she came out of her hide and started putting er head upside down and twisting her neck all over the place. she's done it quite a few times since but most nights she's completely normal.

My spider only really shows signs of wobble when he smells his food coming.

Hi, I've had my spider girl for just over a week now. She wobbles when she smells food and a bit when excited, when out.... But I think she may not as much when she is used to her routine. I saw her do the turning back on herself movement too...

I read up a lot and even considered not getting a spider because of this but I'm so glad I got her. From all the research I did it can get worse and it can get much better or may even dissappear. Many believe all spiders have it even if they do now show it.... And I figure from my research that it it can come and go at any given point. I'd like to think my little girl may see the wobble fade or dissappear with her having it as a baby. The breeder did say it had reduced since being hatched.

Here is a link I saved after reading up on it;

My 5 year old spider has not changed. He does the wobble when staring his food down and does this wierd thing of going to the left when he wants to go to the right which makes him end up looping on himself. He's quite big now, about 2.5kg and still does the same thing - did not get worse at all.

One of my little Bumblebee girls corkscrews and twists like crazy!! She seems fine otherwise and feeds/sheds/poops great!

I've heard varying stories of them growing into or out of the wobble and nothing seems conclusive. My other Bumblebee is fine and has no wobble at all but she could develop one. Likewise my crazy girl may one day stop?

I have a 2-year old bumblebee who is the son of my spider and he doesn't wobble but has a cockeyed stance when periscoping... Like a dog. He also does the "turn left to go right" tendency. Been like that all his life too. Did not get better nor worse. He's 1400g around.
