Anybody know much about the differences in green tree pythons? I've seen a few pics of ones i like but they didn't say which locality they were I've been pricing up vivs today so i can start setting up then start looking for the gtp i want its just difficult telling what's what when babies unless they have the locality as well with them being different colour to there adult colouring when babies

This is what I was looking at when I was deciding which green arboreal snake I wanted more

Dont forget to check out the Emerald Tree Boa too in your search for a green biter.

Picking a baby is a crap shot tbf, even breeders aren't 100% sure how things will turn out. That's why so many hold back for a year or so. Your best clue is to look at the sire and damme. It's going to let you roughly what you can expect

What kind of coloration are you looking for, high whites, yellows, blue?

Trying to find a 100% captive bred ETB is like trying to find hens teeth, here in the uk I could only find 1 breeder and he had a two year waiting list!?! I've seen a lot advertised as cb but, with the regurge issues found often in WC, I just didn't want to take a chance

The cb basin ETBs I found in the uk where going for £1k plus, if you see one advertised for £300, do some digging and ask yourself why so cheap

Yeah ETB's are a nightmare to find, even harder to breed which probably explaions it. I know of someone attempting a breeding at the moment, I have my fingers crossed but the female died last time and the babies couldn't be saved.

Checking the parents of the baby is a good idea, will give you a bit of an idea what to expect or at the very least; hope for. I quite like that you aren't quite sure what's going to come of the pattern when they are adult, all part of the fun seeing what you get.

Yup, spot on with those localities. My little gtp is just starting to change now and it looks like he's gonna have quite a bit of blue. The sire was a jaya with a bunch of light blue markings, mine is turning the same way

Nail, head!

Take snake out (hopefully still asleep), clean viv and then replace snake. then you can do a little victory dance when you still have all your blood
