I have read into it and it looks interesting.
Might have to give it a go one day with the frog setup :) |

Im wanting to set an arboreal viv for gtp,etb or atb and want to give it a try its meant to be easier to get the humidity cycling right in a planted viv than one with artificial plants and substrate |

I set up my snails as a bioactive tub, worms, woodlice, springtails. All was going really well, then something in the balance changed, the woodlice died, the worms were doing well (and still are doing well, I sifted them all out), and then the whole place erupted with mushrooms and the springtails turned on the snails. I scrapped that substrate into the garden. I will have another go but probably need to find a way to keep the springtails in check. Let us know how you get on. |

Very interested to do this with a future arboreal snake vivarium! I did consider it with Pandora and Pilkington's monster vivarium but in the end decided I'd need critters the size of basketballs to devour their waste! |

Most spent time in their baby cages, before i put them in the adult housing. So around afew months.
One i planted etc,and just put the animal in afew weeks later.but it's easier to clean cham poo, then a gaint snake poop :) So some things you can just put in the viv...Where as it would need longer for a snake.
It still needs cleaning from time to time to look nice :) which plants will live and die, which lighting is best etc etc. |
