Hi do anyone use the ikea rubs 100x58x18 are they any good for keeping royals in, I was a bit worried they might be a bit shallow .

they are really good tubs, the only problem is they need to be used within a rack as the lids are useless. it is the rack setup I shall be using when I move house

If your going for the ikea pax wardrobe for your rack frame im sure the shelf spacing is spot on for lidless tubs

Hi whats wrong with the lids, no not using pax frame, making it out of same stuff the viv unit is made from.

The lids don't clip on they just sit loosely on top of a rim on the inside if you know what i mean

Ok , what do you do for ventilation, and what sort of gap from top of rub to shelf above, I was going to use mats, what size do you recommend, sorry to be a pain but any thing else you can think of that might help me with my design.

The rubs will be better if you want to use a lid and i think they have more height, if using the ikea tubs a gap of 2-5mm will be ok if its for larger snakes and that would do for ventilation and for heat mat something that covers a third of the floor space so for a 70l rub a 23" x 11" heatmat will be perfect
