Offered Echo a HOT rat this time after what happened two days ago..

and he hit first time, was disgusting and boy did it stink...

was his first rat to as they never had any weaners so i had to get the smallest rats i could find...he took it with ease despite eating it sideways on

Thats cos i managed to get the kitchen towel out before he ate, there was blood everywhere and the inners were smeared up the side of his rub...it was a disgusting smell

Worse still as he was eating it, a big bubble of skin appeared and i am so glad it never popped...

If you put rats/mice on hot water to defrost it quickly it makes it more likly to explode.

I used to get that all the time when I defrosted in water, I've switched to leaving them out all day and hairdrying them, no pops yet!

i just tried the hairdryer thing with a fuzzy for my corn. he shot at it and constricted for the second time but this time he did it properly :D bless. i guess that hairdrying thing makes the snake think its alive eh?

I tried to heat it up in a bag in boiling water for 'hope' as she still aint eating. and after she showed no interest again i chucked it in to for lily to hover up in the nite.
It was soaking wet (bag must have had a hole in it) so i think that may have softened it up. She doesnt normally strike wen shen eats so really dont know why it split...
