Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and wanted to say hello to everyone! This Saturday I had the pleasure of picking up my new addition to the family, my 4 month old Royal which I have Christened Lecter (after Hannibal Lecter!):) he is currently at home in a RUB, without a heat mat until I get a stat within the best day or two!! Hopefully he'll be fine till then! :) pics to follow of course! |

Welcome along Bob. Personally I would use the heat mat under about a third to half of the Rub even without a stat in the meantime. Just make sure there is a few mm gap between mat and rub and his weight cant press the rub down onto it. Looking forward to the piccies. |

Hi Bob. They are quite robust and can handle a few cold days as long as they haven't just eaten. Your house temps during summer shouldn't be a problem if you would rather leave the mat off. I was just saying what I would do. We had an escapee roaming around the house for 5 months through the winter and he turned up ok. |

Ahh yes I know Limavady. Are there many shops or breeders up there
Not to drive you to another forum but herpireland.com is worth a look for a bargain and local breeders etc. there isn't a vast amount of traffic but the classified nd rehoming section are well worth a look and there is a guy up your way (mr mice) that does food and bugs etc. |
