First up the Avic Sling (feeding on 1mm Lobster Roach babies every 3 days)

Then came the OBT (feeding on lobster roach adults once a week)

The Chilean was next (eating adult lobster roaches once a week). I can't believe I've got this one eating again, tiny tub did the trick, looks awful but needs must.

Last was the mighty hair flicking, mouse munching monster that is my Salmon Pink.

And you don't get this close to this T without food distractions.

Next week will be cleaning them out time (specially the Chilean, in the past 2 days she has made such a mess) . I might just Tripod up and film how I do it.

grammostola rosea are one if those tarantulas that can go off food for ages. some say even though there cb they don't lose there wild side so to speak.in the wild chili during the colder months they almost never come out of there burrow because of the massive temp drop so they just stop eating .

It was over a year not eating and she was really starting to suffer for it. She has made up for it now though. I think the tub I had her in was just too big for her the change once moved was alnost instant. She started to drink again wothon a day or 2 and then food was on the menu big time. She's almost back to the condition she was in before she went off food.

My salmon is male and appears to be a wanderer. He only goes into his burrow when I scare him into it for cleaning etc, even then he will try come back out and attack me.

I'd say he is an easy 7-8 inches across his last moult was just over 6. I've tried to compare my hand span to him and my hand span is 9 inches across so as you can see he could potentially be up at that sort of size but its not easy to measure this guy, he's feisty, very feisty.

Trying to get a measurement for the Salmon Pink. Get him to attack a tape measure, he obliged with a really good stretched out attack and then proceeded to flick hairs straight at me.

I'm thinking that's a good 8 inch leg span there.
