Is there any ways of trying to make a bearded dragon feed on veg. Everything I try fails. All he wants at the minute is locust. I'm next to try cock roaches but think the missis will go crazy lol

Any tips?

Thanks

I always found with the beardies I had, when they were young they ate little veg but lots of insects and as they got older they ate lots more fruit and veg and cut down a bit on the insects.

Mines gone off everything other than locust lol so I may have to invest in a locust farm.

But then again he doesn't exactly jump for locust at the minute. If I leave them in there they do eventually dissapear.

My old beardie used to go crazy for dandelions, both leaves and flowers. They're rich in vitamins and minerals plus, they're free

It could be that he's ate sand and is compacted, sands not the best for young beardies, calci sand is bad as it encourages them to eat it and if they eat too much they can't digest it. Its better to use lino or tiles or even astro turf type stuff but id imagine cleaning poop off it would be a nightmare lol

He poos and wees a hell of a lot and he doesn't seem to be compacted by it. I'm surprised of how big his poos are and how many times he goes.

He took a load of meal worms from me yesterday which was good
