Just offered a large mouse snake nailed it curled then let go. I thought ok thats odd go in to pick mouse up and he runs (ok slithers) straight back over to it before i can get to it and starts chomping down from its head...weird!

My royal does this. I just leave it over night n usually gone. My boa also does this. Very weird

my amazon tree boa does it. the way I have got it to stop and just eat it is ,when the snake strikes hang on to the mouse with the tongs for a lot longer and they usually eat it straight way.

Makes the food item seem more alive still n that they have to fight for dinner instead of thinking its nothing

Oscar has taken his rat, laid it out and licked it before nibbling its front paw then gently opening his jaws and eating him properly from the head. Bizarre
