I am looking at getting a male crestie to go with my female and eventually breed. Does anyone keep male and females in same enclosure or seperately only coming together to breed?

I personally after weighing up the risks etc would only put a male and female together for short periods to breed but I know of those who have a male and a few females in one enclosure. The only real way to see how they react is to try it though I suppose, I'd have a second setup available though just in case the make pesters the female as they can lose their tails this way.

Hi they need separate tanks, I tried to keep a pair together in a exo terra 60x60x45, when they were young it was fine but soon as they were young adults, they would fight.had to separate them so they didn't get stressed.

That's a shame. Don't really have room for another set up! There goes that idea!
