At the minute I have my royal in a 3ft viv in my lounge and all the other animals in the spare room. I was thinking about moving my hoggie or king snake into the viv as they are more active so will make a better show piece in lounge! I have a 50ltr rub I was hoping to move the royal into and just wondered if anyone else has moved theirs from a viv to rub and how they cope?

moved my male from a viv to a rub as he stopped feeding, he started straight away in the rub and his behaviour never really changed that much, out and about every now and then

I moved my normal out of her viv back to a RUB and she's not missed a feed since.

I'm in the process of doing that now also, sick of my royal not eating. I took on a non feeding royal a few weeks back although in a rub of sorts, there was no substrate plants only a hide, heating was a little iffy. However within a week of proper temps and hides/ security it was feeding it had not eaten since early December lost a fair bit of weight. He seems fairly active in there to more so than my other royal in his viv. I'm hoping it will work, in fact I'm sure it will :)
Fingers crossed.

That's good! It seemed a shame to move my royal as he was my first snake but the viv in lounge is a nice oak one that matches the furniture and has a cabinet etc and it's first thing people notice when they come into the room then ask "well where is it?"
