Would it be safe to assume that as with pretty much any animal sizes can vary quite considerably ?
My Royal is coming up to 4 yrs and still barely weighs a kilo (around 3 ft long).
She appears healthy, feeds regularly, sheds every 3 months, and seems perfectly happy.
I know that she was mistreated by a previous owner in her youth (although I was never told exactly what said mistreatment entailed). Could this have affected her long term ? |

| Is she definitely a she? If she'd been under fed i suppose it would affect growth if it turns out a he a lot don't get too big |

| You do get big ones, small ones, average ones etc. Its possible that malnutrition has stunted her growth. So long as she is healthy now though I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as she is just a pet and not a breeding plan as its unlikely she will ever be big enough to cope with breeding. |

| what size food is she eating now? you might not be able to make her grow longer but 1kg for 3ft still leaves room for healthy weight gain |
