I think most young males are fussy eaters. My female eats like a pig so I havent had any problems. She wont take food off tongs though, just hisses at it until she is left alone, then she eats.
Ive read that for scenting, frogs or toads are best. Thats the natural diet. Not sure where you get them from. I guess egg would work as well.... Or even lizards? I would give braining a try too. You can also take the water bowl out for a few days then off a soaked prey item.
Also what time of day do you feed? I find mine is most active in the morning/ early afternoon. If I feed at night the food is usually left until the morning before it is eaten. |

What is your set up like? I found a nice deep substrate to burrow in made them feel at home, mine both feed off the tongs like champs. |

Yeah i wasnt sure about the frog lol. Although I do have a pond full of them.... Brainings not too bad with smaller prey items so thats probably your best bet. Egg might be worth a try too. I once saw a video of a pet hognose taking bites out of a hard boiled egg and eating it. while it didnt seem like a good idea offering cooked egg, it does show how much they like egg. |

Our two are little pigs. Don't know if they are male or female but they are both on about an inch of megazorb and love to tunnel in it. Both have turned into Hissy little so and so's but do calm down once you run the bitten finger gauntlet to get them out. Gotta love Hoggies. Can't help on the non feeding front sorry. |

If he's always eaten for you before, and there's nothing wrong with him or the viv. Then he might just be off his food :)

Trout scented also works great, but if nothing has changed in his viv he might just be having a food break so probs nothing to worry about just yet |
