Tonight ive seen my snake has a hole on the top of its nose that now looks like a 3rd nostril, ive searched the net but cant find anything related, i can now see the inside of her 2 nostrils and can see some cartalidge, ive took some pics but cant find a way to post them. Has anyone ever heard of this? Also she has been extreamly aggressive over the last 2 weeks and have just left her alone thinking it was just to do with a shed(now completed perfectly). Any ideas,? Cheers. Dean |

she has very probably just rubbed a scale off while working the skin loose when shed, the colour will come back after a while and should be gone the next time she shed's |

Bit of nose damage isn't too unusual on an animal that leads with is face.
The photos aren't clear as to how deep the wound is but is doesn't look as deep as described. I'd say if it looks sore, swollen or wet then it needs treatment. If its a clean wound, healing on its own, then leave it well alone. |
