Is it safe applied directly on to the snake?
Thanks :) |

Supposedly. I wouldn't do it personally though. A bath will do the same job while you treat the enclosure. |

I used a different brand, but applied it to cotton wool pads and then wipe the snake all over, did the job. Also cleaned the viv with it. |

I have used it as a precautionary measure on any new additions, directly applied to the snake/viv without removing the animal. I did remove the water as directed for 24hours

Usually transmitted through other reptiles that have it. If the snake was housed with other snakes, or even if its enclosure was just in close proximity with other reptiles that have mites, then the mites can "jump ship" and hitch a ride with your snake as it goes to your house where it starts to build its own clan.
Quarantine is always recommended for new additions to the collection. |
